Genius test not quite genius...

I'm sorry, but one question just reeks of non-logic... much less anything to actually validate your answer: Question 13. You don't specify what kind of race it is (for one) and you seem to ignore the fact that if it is a track race... it is quite possible to lap the person in last place. The same thing with an automobile race... thus if any of the answers were correct... it would be the second answer, not "impossible!"

Also... don't know what your magic trick was attempting, but it always tried to pick number 63. So that didn't work either.

atticuslodius responds:

Sorry. I should have clarified the question to state "in a non-looping race, or a single lap race".

The magic trick is fool proof... as long as your math is correct.

Challenging... entertaining... well done!

The overall gameplay is quite addicting... I actually wish that it had replay value (beyond that of just doing everything over again.) I never stopped playing until I finished it... which I did in:

Lvl 01 finished in 1m and 36s!
Lvl 02 finished in 2m and 3s!
Lvl 03 finished in 2m and 35s!
Lvl 04 finished in 5m and 35s!
Lvl 05 finished in 3m and 14s!
Lvl 06 finished in 6m and 23s!
Lvl 07 finished in 3m and 25s!
Lvl 08 finished in 2m and 0s!
Lvl 09 finished in 4m and 10s!
Lvl 10 finished in 3m and 29s!
Lvl 11 finished in 6m and 21s!
Lvl 12 finished in 3m and 45s!
Completed the game in 44m and 37s!

Your mechanics were spot on, the controls were simple and fun... didn't require too much to learn. Graphics were what I would expect from Crazy Jay... I love your stick movies and this is just as good! I would have to say better actually, just because I was amazed at the individual depth of animation for each unit type.

I did find the grammar to be off in some places... you would place your instead of you're... and there instead of their, but that is only something minor. I would have liked to been the native spear people as well. They had some speed behind them... and then they could have upgraded into the "spartans" later on... it would have been nice, but that's just the completionist in me wanted to unlock things.

The story was basic and didn't really have much of a plot beyond "conquer" but I enjoyed your game... you can easily finish it in under an hour... it's a good way to not only relieve boredom, but to waste time at work if necessary.

Very nice... I enjoyed it

I love the art on this game... Bob is quite cute and it plays smoothly. Your animation is crisp and clean... and it handles well, unlike many games on this website that are uploaded en masse. The levels are entertaining... widespread in parts and easy to go and play again.

Newgrounds Staple

You come to Newgrounds for several things: Blood, gore, and good gaming... movies or the mature content.

For me it's really the former three. I love playing the games on Newgrounds and I'm always looking for the next thrill or addicting pleasure. I have truly come to love Thing Thing... from customization to exploding skulls... it has it all and it's been fine tuned like a science.

Your control scheme handles well.
The graphics are sharp.
The game difficulty constantly changes.
The score system is incremental... and the score boards are fun (I made it to spot 22!! YAY!)
There is a variety of weapons.

In the words of Christopher Walken, "Death is this man's art... and he's about to paint a masterpiece". This game comes together with many perfect elements to form a masterpiece... your masterpiece, which I only hope you will try even harder to best.

Excellent work... you've done yourself proud! I'm impressed... time to go kill more people.

illogical and frustrating...

This sounds like parroting, but the game is not user friendly... it's not even friendly to logic, reason, or insanity... the only thing it is a friend to is wasting time. IF you have the time to click every option further on... then you may make it to the end of this quiz, but don't expect this "Impossible Quiz's illegitimate and cast away child" to give you anything fulfilling for its completion.

Suggestions for this game would include: music... and good music at that. If people are going to waste their time--they might as well have something worth listening to.

Get rid of the acid trip in the background... it causes mild seizures. I would suggest something simple, or if you want to do that "computer chip" animation thing... use less contrasting colors. Perhaps blue and white and black? I don't know... the blue and yellow is killer, that is for certain.

Next make the questions at least fun... humorous... even witty if that is possible. Don't rip off of another creation... try to make something that is your own creation! Go for the gold rather than sub... sub par. Right now this feels like the bottom of the barrel when, with a little more effort, you could havea decent submission.

A mixture of feelings... both good and bad

So this game is fun to play... there is no denying that it is quite fun to try and suck every single cent out of the consumer populace. However, while this game is charming... it soon becomes repetitive and you find yourself using the "fast mode option" to speed up the pace... and eventually even that begins to seem a bit too slow. For a game of this calibur it fails to offer any new content the further you get into the game.

Yes, more shops will become available. Yes you will be able to have larger crowds, more complex maps, and make more money... but there are no new gameplay elements... which makes it turn from a charming game of devilry and corporate tycoon overlord... to a game of repetitive monotony that eventually drives you to seek something more stimulating.

I would suggest adding a few things to the game. Perhaps when a robber shows up, you have to use police baricades to box him in? When a fire starts you click on the flame and get a mini-game where you put out the fire. The faster you put it out... the less the repair costs are. There are little things you could do... and you could also make more content that you can PURCHASE later on. New marketing gimmicks, bigger speakers... ad bulletings... road side stalls. There needs to be more to keep people sitting at their computer and playing. As of right now... I'm bored and I don't see myself coming back to this game.

But it did delight my evil side as I watched the hordes of people waste their money in my shops.

Mario Bros... with bad controls

This game is basic. I like the art and the heroine is wearing read so those are plus points, but I couldn't help but feel that the control scheme needed a great deal of work. I felt like I was playing a rehashed and overconfident rip off of the old NES Mario Bros. The only thing that this game has over Mario is that it isn't pixelated. That's not a big thing to boast about. The lack of a dash/run ability is also hindering. The jump is difficult to use... and overall this game is just like every other platformer out there.

Beautiful... incredible... peaceful...

This game just made me stare at it for a good thirty seconds. The cascading musical notes, the stunning colors, the imagery... it was as if the music should flow out of my screen and into the room. I would have paid money right then and there if it could have happened... I'm beyond impressed. I'm awed.

Once the shock and amazement had faded... the core concept is relatively a "dodge and capture" game, but what makes it more--what sets this game above the others in this rather over-used genre... is that it has class. It is the amazing colors and visuals that transcend from mere "dodge game" into a work of art. I found it both engaging and challenging while at the same time... allowing me to enjoy the serenity created by this game.

Excellent work... I'm glad I have found this.

A basic dodge and collect game...

Nothing impressive here... you dodge, you collect and you try to build up the energy meter to keep from dying. The coding is simple and the game is easy; if you play for very long you end up getting bored.

I would suggest putting some more time into the game... add some coding to where you get drawn in when the black hole gets near and perhaps add new and interesting objects as the game progresses. As it is right now, your game is doomed to mediocrity.

stian7 responds:

This is game is like the yellow rubber duck. Everyone has it, and you got to do something special to make it new and interesting.
This is the a typical: "Bound to happen" games. Surely there is an programmer out there that might take the credit for the first version, but if he did not do it, someone else would.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Excellent and enabling

Mastermind is... a game that pets the world dominator in all of us.

This is the second day I have come to this game to play it. I love the artwork, the core gameplay is strong, the leveling system is inventive... and all in all the game does not bore.

I have multiple personalities... and they all say you're an idiot. ^.^
