Potential, but ultimately nothing but frustrating

I have just spent an hour trying to kill these zombies... which theoretically is a simple thing to do... if the targeting system didn't glitch every second or third headshot. I mean... I sometimes wasted both my secondary and primary weapon ammo, just trying to take down the basic zombie that was standing still on my porch... it wasn't moving and the targeting reticle was right on top of the creature. I wasn't even trying to headshot the sucker (which is a painstaking and frustrating thing in and of itself). I dealt with that everytime I played... and I feel that it really detracts from the gameplay and the enjoyment. Not only that, but your save feature doesn't work. I saved after every cleared wave, only to lose and not be able to reload my game. It wasn't very fun having to play all the way up to wave seven each time... only to die and find out: hey! you were one zombie away... but sorry, start over.

So the frustration and the glitching is the summation of your score. I had no fun after the first five minutes.

I really liked this game

For one thing, making a tower defense game entertaining... that's quite an accomplishment. It is an entirely different matter when that game is ingenuitive. I found the concept for the game to be addictive and fresh. The way you can combine the gems to create better and stronger versions... and thus make your towers better: excellent core gameplay!

It makes it even better by allowing me to constantly be doing something. I can control the speed of the game, destroy monsters, constantly be making gems, and then throw my excess gems to destroy monsters. Not once did I feel like I was bored or wasting time... which isn't good because I'll waste my life trying to beat this game.

I also like how you can beat the level, and still not have beaten it. The high score goals for each level are nice targets to aim for, and the secret levels to be unlocked are intriguing as well. I am also thankful for the save feature... I will come back to this game tomorrow!

basic tower defense game

I found this game to be stuck in the middle. It has basic graphics and basic gameplay and offers little in the realm of new concepts. While it is a solid tower defense game... i was bored because of the lack in originality. Perhaps giving me something to occupy the time other than just watching numbers go up and down? It's not bad, but it's not exemplary either.

Wonderfully distracting game

I absolutely loved this game. It managed to kill 20 minutes of work without me lookking like I was goofing around. I liked the various "ages" and how the unit types could be made to work together. All in all it was a solid flash game.

I'm only taking points away because I could not find a pause button and the instructions didn't tell me how to pause the game. I could have missed it, but that was my only criticism.

Keep up the good work.

I have multiple personalities... and they all say you're an idiot. ^.^
