Wow...

I was expecting something... amateurish and boring... what I received was a fandom mash-up with excellent and timed comedic appearance. I'm quite impressed. Your a very talented animator and I love your artistic styling of all the character (many of which I am ashamed to recognize... especially the two from inhuman the webcomic... I know now that I read too many internet comics. Shame...)

Keep up the good work and I'd love to see something else from you along these lines.

The fangirl in me also has to get giddy at the shonnen ai scenes as well.

Naruto or not... this is funny!

I loved this movie... so I'm just going to run down the list. First things first...

Animation: excellent job... it's smooth, well done and it creates its own style. You've obviously put efforst into it, and thus I commend you.

Art: This is where I really found myself attracted to your movie. The characters were taken from the original artists and pulled into a awesome world of adorableness. I loved the art, it never got boring, it was even and well executed the whole way through... wonderful and enjoyable.

Music: I laughed... seeing all these difference music references, from Disney (beauty and the beast) to Lady Gaga at the end... perfect selections!

Overall you did a marvelous job... bravo. The lengh wasn't even a problem... I actually wanted more!

Just... not enough

I'm sorry, but I watched it all the way through... and your movie made no sense.

The animation was fine, but it's not enough to save it. There are SO MANY sprite movies out there... that you really have to step up the game and animation is no longer the only judge. This movie was boring... it was under par for action and it lacked the fundamental grammar to make it worth spending the time to read. Not only that but the SSB music was boring... bad music choice. Also the fact that it just keeps looping is also rather annoying. You have a great deal of work still left to do... you need to flesh out the story, you need to put in some more time animating the action scenes so they don't appear so rushed, think them out a little bit.

All in all this is a sub-par sprite animation.

Excellent animation

the Shadow fan in me hated watching him get the beating of his life, but I cannot deny that you put some might excellent effects to work with those sprites, and the close ups were also surprisingly clear... I was quite impressed. A quick run down...

Animation was great... which it was very little in the way of "New" you definitely have taken an over-used medium and refined it. I liked it, I wasn't bored... and it was neither jumpy or rushed. You know how to animate and that much is evident. I'd like to see you do something expanded... a little bit longer... and watch that. I want to see what you do with a prolonged and even fight and how much effort you are willing to put into such an endeavor. If what I have seen here is a measure... you could have Newgrounds gold in the future.

I realize that this was a test, but there was no story... so that did make it kinda seem like: here is Shadow getting the piss kicked out of him. This is payback to all the Shadow lovers out there. I would have liked a small explanation... so that bored me just a little. (you can only watch someone getting trashed for so long without wondering... what the heck? and why for?)

Excellent music choice, btw, and the voice clips were fairly well done... though Sonic sounded like Goku in one section... I don't know if that was intentional or not? I heard a line during the tornado... it wasn't very clear, I could have been hearing things... but if not--you may want to make it just a bit louder.

All in all everything was excellent... very nice test run.

Potential... only time will tell

You're sticks are well drawn, but your animation needs a lot of work. Here are some suggestions:

Text: People have to read... orange text is not only difficult to read, but it is also small. If you're going to make it like that... people need more time to read it... it moves too fast as it is. I'm not saying make like five seconds per line, but just make it so that it's easily read. Try voice acting it if you want... it'll keep people from being bored.

Action: Was too face. It almost looked jumpy and rushed. I don't know what your frame rate is, but I'd suggest either dropping it or fleshing out the action scenes so it looks like it isn't just blink, blink... over. I felt unfulfilled.

Animation: impact will create friction and force... you may want to add little effects here and there for when people hit each other, when their feet strike the ground... ect. It adds more to the effort of the animation and also creates some realism.

Not bad for a first attempt.

Cuboid11 responds:

thanks .

It's impressive sprites...

The sprites look custom made, and they are well done. I'm very impressed with those. the flash animatin on the other hand is a little bit choppy. Your backgrounds jump as they move, which is an eye sore... you may want to either increase the frame rate, or slow speed up how fast they move... something to make it not appear jerked and rushed.

Also you have prolonged pause in one section which is ok for dialouge moments, but the sprites should move a little just to keep the visuals from getting stale.

Those are my suggestions and I will definitely be on the watch for your upcoming flash movies.

ESCkid responds:

yeah, i was going to narrate it so that is why the gap was so long. Thanks for the suggestions Il change it now.

I didn't quite see a point

I don't think that you got your meaning across very clearly. I love anything to do with frieza... so this movie is not getting blammed by me, but I can't give it a very high rating because it failed to communicate well.

First off I think you have to have seen Death Note to understand, am I correct? I don't think that is fair to the audience. I little bit of text, or perhaps more explanation from you in the author comments? I just felt lost while watching this. The music did not explain anything, and the images were very confusing. I felt that your vision was jumping all over the place, and when choreographing a movie you need to have concise scenes... it's something to work on.

Taking this as a frieza based music video... I liked it and felt it was too short. I hope you make another one, or beef this one up (it has a lot of potential).

I love you guys!

I've been an avid fan of StickPage for over a year now, and before that I was a lover of the xiaoxiao page (and then it became a part of stick page) and... my love of stick movies has grown as they continue to get more and more amazing!

This collab is absolutely brilliant. The music is phenomenal! The animation is top class, and the powers displayed by the stick mutants was so flawlessly executed that I was watching this movie with jaw dropped. Top scores go to you all and this movie!

TeamXHawk responds:

Thanks a lot.

Everything works together to make clean animation

This is a beautiful fight scene. The animation well colored, I love the personal touch you put into the art, and I enjoyed all of it. I thought the music went hand in hand with the coreography, and the addition of the HP meter was a nice touch. Good vision, and good animation are what this score is based upon.

I did detract points, however, because of the shoddy grammar. I had a hard time with the opening because it looked as if you had ignored proofreading altogether. While I know this has little to do with that actual animation, what you have to understand is that people see this before they press the play button... it is the first impression you give them and while the menu is stylish... the grammar is lacking. It detracts and thus... the score reflects.

All in all, everthing else was beautifull and pristine!

NCH responds:

engrish was never my best language.

Excellent animation, love the nerdy references

I liked the flash animation.

Pokemon is a guilty pleasure for me... I even pull out my old vhs tapes at times, and I can still remember going to see the first movie (and the only movie I've ever seen) in theaters. It was a good thing back in the day and now it is just over played, but I liked having those flashbacks and I thank you for this.

Your action vision is quite good... you coreograph the fight well and you executed the animation with near perfection! The nerd in me giggled uncontrollably at the old-timed Godzilla screech that came from Onix. Very nice touch....

All in all a good submission for Newgrounds.

I have multiple personalities... and they all say you're an idiot. ^.^
